Types of Fruits
1 Simple fruit
These fruits are formed from the ripening of an ovary. Simple fruits are of two types, dried and fleshy. Dried plain fruits can be dried or non-acne. Brazil nuts, strawberries, coconuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc., are some of the simple dried fruits. Fleshy simple fruits are those that have partial or complete fleshy peri carp (fruit wall) at maturity. Some examples include cherries, tomatoes, olives, peaches, berries and cranberries.
2 Aggregate Fruit
These fruits are made from several ovaries of a single flower. There are four main types of whole fruits including follicles, achenes, drupelets and berries. Raspberry, Blackberry, and Custard Apple are just a few examples.
3 Multiple fruit
More than one fruit emerges from the flower, which means a cluster of flowers. Each of these flowers bears an individual fruit and the fruits come in the form of a single mass at maturity. Pineapple, fig, mulberry, etc. are some of the many fruits.
4 Berries
The berry is a simple fruit because it is produced from the ovary of the same flower. Cranberries and blueberries are two of the most common examples.
5 Accessory Fruit
Any fruit whose edible part comes from the ovary as well as other parts of the flower is an auxiliary fruit. It can be simple, numerous or whole fruit. The most common examples are pineapple, apple, stone fruit and strawberry.
6 Seedless fruit
Fruits without seeds ripen in two ways. The first is where the fruit grows without the partheno carpi, while the second is where the pollen stimulates the growth of the fruit. These are the most valuable fruits because they are often eaten by people.
